Birthday party (participant) review only! My son (6 years old) was invited to a birthday party at Bowlero. I've been to numerous parties at fun locations before, but WOW! Bowlero was over the top with customer service, food, layout and FUN. The kids started with several bowling frames - with the exception of adults helping set-up the screens, they were able to follow along and manage the games themselves. Food was provided here: both for the adults and the kids! The kids set-up included hot dogs, pizza and toppings. Adults could choose from hummus varieties with veggies & pita chips, and some incredible flatbreads. After bowling, we transitioned over to a picnic-type set-up, where the kids sang happy birthday and had cake. Cake was provided and the host also brought cupcakes. Lastly, we then moved on to the arcade area, which was a blast! Fun for the kids to bounce around from activity to activity - and at the end of the time, my son had enough points accumulated for some neat prizes! I'm not sure the price tag on an event here, but it was an incredible experience for the littles and well-managed!

We were in town to for a wedding with a lot a time to kill. Enter Bowlero. We arrived at about 12:30 on Saturday and the place was still pretty quiet. Hubs and I grabbed a players card from the self-serve kiosk for the arcade (boo to the $3.00 fee the business takes right off the bat for issuing new cards) and headed to the games. My SO loved the hatchet throwing and the amount of tickets it gave him. I liked Skee-Ball, the one (Metallic themed) pinball machine they had, the PacMac game and Connect Four. We're 38 with no kids and had a fun time. Hubs checked out the bar. I used the restroom (could have used a major remodel and more stalls in my opinion). The bowling alley was on the other side of the building and we didn't check it out -- this time. I think we spent around $60 at the arcade. After all the games we played this left us with around 1,000 tickets. We had to leave, so we left our card with a family member; hoping he'd be able to redeem the tickets. He had to leave, too and gave away the card to a kid waiting in line. CON: There definitely weren't enough employees working the prize counter. OMG. Given the amount of birthday parties going on and the number of kids trying to redeem 1,000s worth of tickets (with no urgency), we would have been there for hours and hours. We were patiently waiting in line for our turn, but kids would just walk right up to the counter and cut everyone off -- parents not stopping them, either. A waiting system like you see at the DMV would have been helpful! Happy birthday to the random kid who got a $60 gift from us in the form of tickets! I'm not sure what this building used to be before Bowlero, but someone told my husband there is still an old rollercoaster inside that they built walls around. Spooky? Neat? I was intrigued. The menu looked pretty good. Party-sized soft pretzels that I definitely want to try if we go back. Didn't encounter any staff, so I can't speak to their friendliness. Maybe, like everyone else, they're short staffed. Given the amount of customers more employees should have been walking around. Ample parking. Recommend if you have a few hours to kill in Naperville and you really want to be entertained. (This was our backup to the Morton Arboretum after we realized we couldn't get admission tickets.)
